It's been a while...

I am not sure why it has been so long, but this blog is in dire need of an update.
School finished at the end of May, and what a welcome relief it was. As much as I enjoy teaching, I love summers even more.
Spencer (my youngest brother) graduated! He is all grown up. I do not know what I am going to do at school without him. He always brightened my day.

All six of the Dahl children were there. Anytime all 5 ( now 6 with Julie) of the Dahl ladies are together a tea party is an absolute must!

Hillary made some amazing savories and slaved away in the kitchen. I wish the camera hadn't died before I got a pic of all the food.

With some free time on my hands I have been able to do some reading for my self ( not that I did not love the last 13 novels I read for grad school, but it is just nice to read something I chose).

Absolutely loved this one! Poetic, witty and very bittersweet. If you like foreign films, this is a must. Each character was so human. Each with her own strengths and weaknesses the dynamic was intriguing and the writing just kept me coming back for more.

The first week of June I took all of the young women in my church up to Salt Lake. We took them to go see the temple and do some service there. We also toured all of temple square while there and saw BYU's young ambassadors perform.  It was a fun trip, but enough to convince me that I don't want to have all girls :)
Next up: Hawaii. No really Joe and I leave on Monday morning for almost 2 weeks. I am so excited I can hardly stand it. Thanks to Ashley we have some awesome recommendations for Oahu, and thanks to both sets of our parents, we know what we will be doing in Maui. It could not come soon enough.

Until next time...

I just finished reading The Elegance of The Hedgehog a few days ago. Loved it! It's so fitting that you and your sisters had a beautiful tea party while you were reading it. And, I am so happy for your Hawaii trip. You deserve it~
