The icing on the cake

*** Disclaimer*** This blog post may contain some adult material.

This week was Foreign Language Week at school and between the World Cup soccer tournament, the faculty luncheon, teaching the kids to make fresh pasta, writing Italian poems, and creating a Italian language capture the flag game somehow my kids managed to create the Boboli Gardens, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and the Piti Palace all in the hallway. The pictures do not do it justice. They had an actual live fountain with water and lights. They were so creative and took charge.

After this insanely crazy week I am so happy for a rest. The stress of it all has me with a rudolph nose and dosed up on day quil. I was looking forward to a relaxing weekend. Let's just say it did not kick off that way. After school today I had to go to the doctor for a checkup. My doctor left that office, and she passed me onto a new one, but she wanted to do just your run of the mill check up to get to know me. She asked when my last paps-mere  had been done. ( I really wanted to lie at this point) Reluctantly, I said..." A year.. cough and a half cough... ago."  With a hearty NY accent she looked at me and said "Well we better bring the cart in here and get you set up." So to begin my recovery in the process of getting healthy and getting away from weekly life, I was forced to welcome the jaws of life and a scrape test into my schedule. It just makes me so excited to one day give child birth.
